Guten Tag, mein Name ist Rie. Nach zweieinhalb Jahren hat Japan seine Isolationspolitik endlich beendet. Liebe meine Gaeste, danke fuers Warten ! Was moechten Sie sehen, wenn Sie nach Japan kommen ? Was moechten Sie wissen ? Was moechten Sie essen ?

Hi! I’m Yoshi. I’m a pure, but a little bit an international, Japanese, living in Yokohama for about half a century. In addition, I used to live in Malaysia for 2 years, U.S.A. for 8 years and Canada for 3 years. I had long been involved in the international trade of U.S., Canadian, Australian and European grains for 40 years, during which I visited more than 40 countries including most of East Asian and South East Asian countries and most of Western European countries. Now I’m a national certified guide-interpreter, working here for the past couple of years. Believe! There is much more vast range of tourist spots and attractions throughout the year in Japan, even in Tokyo and its neighboring area, than “Green Michelin” and “Lonely Planet” offer to the world. Oops! You will surely encounter a new electricity here and there, day and night! It’s really great to be welcoming here those who; - Like to visit famous historic and cultural sites, shrines and temples in Tokyo, Kamakura, Nikko and other local areas, - Love to bask in the natural beauty of Hakone, Mount Fuji and their vicinity, - Have a keen interest in time-honored, culture-rich local cities like Kanazawa, Takayama, Matsumoto, Nagano and unique rural areas like Shirakawa-go and so many others, - Are fascinated in Japanese art and paintings, both traditional and contemporary, including “Ukiyo-e”, wood block printings, - Are aggressive enough to stroll in the sky by a gondola over an active volcano and sulfurous gush! Oh dear! - Are passionate enough to directly touch the atmosphere of live, sometimes violent, “Matsuri”, traditional festivals in downtown, - Wish to experience Japanese traditional, elaborate craftwork, handed down for centuries, - Are enthusiastic about Japanese various pop culture and unique attractions, - Like, or need, to escape from your everyday stress or boredom anyway! Seeing is believing. Sightseeing is feeling through your own five senses! See Naples and Come on in Japan any time! I’m ready here whenever you are.

I have been in Tokyo(downtown side) since I was born. For three years I have traveled in 57 countries and worked in Bolivia for a year. When I traveled in Maya's ruin, I was really impressed that my guide told me not only the information about the ruin but also how to live in Guatemala, how to earn and the political problem etc... A guide is a diplomatic entrance to the country, I think. From this experience, I would like to give you what I have to every customer. Having been worked as an elementary school teacher in Japan, though I know the educational issue as a strong point, now I work as a tour-conductor traveling around Tokyo area. I used to hike around the world, of course in Japan. Northern Japan Alpes, Southern Japan Alpes, Yatsugatake mountain range and Mt.Fuji. The highest one for me is Mount Cotopaxi in Ecuador with 5892m. Another strong point is that I can hike with you. Let us make unforgettable and precious moment during the tour!

Hello, My name is Katsunori, a national licensed guide in English. Just call me “Fuji-san”, the same as Mt. Fuji-san. I worked and lived abroad more than 15 years mainly in the United States, Australia, Abu Dhabi, China and Malaysia. During those days, I communicated many local peoples and felt a lot of different cultures and thinking ways. I was interested in this multi culture circumstance. I also visited many places, some of them were on business purpose, and the others were as private travels. Visiting new places always gave me new discoveries and deep impressions, and I really like these feelings. I would like the visitors to Japan to feel such impressions, and I would like to assist them – this is the primary motivation for me to be a tour guide. One of my hobbies is trekking. One of the travels that made an impression on me was a mountain trekking at Nepal. I trekked 4 days through the hills over 3000m in Himalaya with mountain guide. Another nice experience was the trekking of Jungle in Sarawak island in Malaysia. The guides explained the natures such as plants, flowers, butterfly and insects of those areas in addition to the trails in both cases, and I really recognized the importance of the guiding. If the guides were not suitable, my memories on the travels might not be so nice. Japan is really beautiful country. It has seasonal beauty according to the four clear cut seasons. The natures with historical buildings are beyond description. I really hope you, visitors, receive great impressions during your stay in Japan. I can arrange any kind of tours – from half day city tour to mountain trekking. I will customize special tours for you with proper recommendations. I am looking forward to hearing from you!!

Born and bred in Tokyo I am still living in the suburbs of Tokyo. I spent several years in the U.S. and the UK and wanted to show international visitors around Japan in return for the hospitality I had received in foreign countries. After coming back from the UK, I obtained the qualification of the National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter. I can guide guests to every corner of Tokyo including areas off the beaten track. As a history fan I can tell you a historical episode behind the scenes. From a local perspective I can explain how we Japanese are getting along. Since I have science and technology backgrounds, I can give you a tour of scientific or technical things as well..

Fukuroda falls

Had a great day with Go-san, he helped us to arrange for the taxis and tea ceremony session with Chanosanto park. Unfortunately, Namase falls was too many steps and challenging, so we did not manage to see. Fukuroda falls was amazing! We ended the tour at an old cafe since the lacquerware shop is closed.

Fonia-san Thank you very much for your review. There were some things I didn't do well during the tour, but I were all helped by your kindness, compassion and smiles. I will do my best to provide more satisfying guiding in the future. I would also like to make a tour around the waterfalls and lakes of Fukushima. I look forward to seeing you again. Thank you. Go

Very beautifull waterfalls

Hiroyuki was very friendly but sometimes a little hard to understand and we felt that if his grasp of english had been better he would have had a lot of knoledge to impart. The tour was wonderful and we took a lot of photos to remind us of the beauty of this area.

Hiroyuki I.

Dear Frans Thank you for joining the tour in the countryside to see waterfalls. I am very surprised to hear that you are very knowledgeable about Japan. I enjoyed accompanying you as a guide. Hiroyuki
