It was flourished as a post town centering on Zenkokuji temple, but now popular shopping street among local people. It has a good atmosphere with small alleys in all direction like a maze. You can enjoy looking for three different shapes of small rocks such as heart, star and diamond that bring good love, good business and money respectively on the alleys, seeing the most fashionable shrine and local people's life. Also you can learn Japanese custom.
It is typical old town. You can see Kiyosumi-teien which is famous traditional Japanese garden for so many types of rocks, friendly carps and turtles in the pond. Also you can feel spiritual atmosphere through the fire ritual with chanting sutra and beating drum in Fukagawa-fudodo. Then, Kakuuchi trying Japanese sake at liquor shop will attract you.
