If you stay in Tokyo, not far from it, there is an ancient capital of Japan, "KAMAKURA" ,which prospered from the end of the 12th century and lasted
150 years. During this period, Buddhism flourished and many temples were
built in KAMAKURA. We'll visit Great Buddha, Hase Kannnon in golden color and Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine which was the gurardian diety of
the 1st Shogun's Family and his men. If time allows and you'll still have the
energy to walk, visit one more place, Kenchou-ji Temple or Engaku-ji Temple,
both are headquarters of Zen sects having architectual beauty.

Although we use some public transportation in the city of Kamakura, this is mainly a walking tour. So, please wear a light fit and comfortable shoes and just in case bring an umbrella.

We had an incredibly positive experience touring with Reiko. She absolutely showed us everything we could fit in for the two days we spent with her. She was patient with us, our four-year-old daughter who only wanted to hold her hand, and with our many, many questions. She went above and beyond to ensure that not only the two days we spent with her were great but helped us navigate Tokyo and make recommendations for the other days of our trip!
